Work + JL = a busy life

I have been working lots on top of JL, our lives have been pretty busy.  Two nights last week I worked until 8.  I will be glad for those hours once pay day rolls around.  On top of work I have had a JL event at least once a week and then have something every Saturday for the next 3 weeks.  Don't get me wrong I love both!!!  I have really enjoyed JL and think that it will get even better once I am done with the new member stuff.

This past weekend we did not do much.  Like I mentioned on Saturday morning I had some volunteer work to do and then came home a cleaned some and then watched some football.  Sunday we worked in the yard and on our secret project.  And when I say "WE" worked in the yard, that is right I mowed just as much or more than husband.  Everytime he asks me to help him with something he always ends up saying well you did better than I thought you would.  You would think he would learn that I can do anything-especially the JUNK that he wants me to help with.

Our house is currently being taken over by these groase black beetles.  Thankfully they are only on the outside but it is still disgusting!

Wedding Gifts and Weekend

Two years ago we had a wonderful wedding shower with LOTS of gifts.  For the first year and half that we were married we didn't even have most of the gifts at out house. So when we moved to MN it was like Christmas when I got to open all of our gifts again.  As you would guess there are many wedding gifts that I have never used BUT this weekend I got to use many!!!  We had a get together at our house to watch the Tech game(granted it was an awful game).  I used my new deviled egg dish, crock pot and some pewter serving pieces.  Even though the game was not good we all had a good time.

Friday night was spent getting ready for the party.  Saturday morning we went to our usual estate sales and then came home for more party preparing.  Today we have not done much.  I took a much needed nap and cooked pork roast for dinner.

We have a suprise project going on in the garage and we both spent some time working on it today, which makes me SUPER excited!!!!!!!!!

I leave you with a precious picture of CRD!

11 Weeks and 6 days...............

At this time we will be in TEXAS for Christmas.  CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!  Trust me I am not crazy and counted down the days, the only reason I know this is I had to submit my time off for work and the earliest you can do it is at 12 weeks so I submitted mine yesterday.  It will be wonderful to be in TX for a while.  I am trying to NOT call TX home anymore because this is our home and we really do love our home!!!!!!!!  We will be in TX for 10 days in both Amarillo and Lubbock so hopefully we can see everyone.  It will be a wonderful time but just as I was telling my BFF(shout out Abbye) I am sure we will be ready to come back home.  We have gotten so use to it just being us that we will want that NORMAL back!!!!!  I have done about 80% of my shopping so I have a little more to do.

PS..............  If you read my blog and complain that I don't update it enough then maybe you should leave me comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (YDOAUD know who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!)  Love ya!!

RECAP

August was too busy and I ran out of blogging time.  It was a great month and it seems to have been Minnesota's last few days of summer. Since September 1st is has not been out of the low 70's.  We made it home from Wisconsin and then home from our seperate Labor Day trips.

  • The Green Bay game was tons of fun and of course they won!!!!!!!!!!!! I really was not very excited to go but was being a supportive wife but to my suprise it was nothing like the Cowboys game we went to last season. It was just like the college football games we have been too. There were lots of tailgating and too much beer. I will for sure go to another one.

#7 is TTU Graham Harrell, we got to see him score his first NFL touchdown!

During the stadium tour.

  • When we left GB we went to the Wisconsin Dells.  It is known as the water park capital of the world.  It was fun, although the lines for the rides were pretty long.  The main street was very interesting, full of t-shirt shops and restaurants.

  • My trip to TX was GREAT and Andrew's trip to Virginia was fun.  Of course I spent tons of time with my family and to even see some friends.  My pictures from my trip are in the mail so I will post them soon.
Our August was busy but I think our September may be busier.  We have watched football ALL weekend and having a football party next weekend.
