Father's Day 2014

My baby daddy. He has completely surprised me in the last two years. He loves his baby!!!! He is such a hard worker and always puts me and Henry first. What a role model he is for Hen. Drew helps make this parenting gig a lot more fun!!!! 

My dad. The first man that I ever loved. Such a hard headed hard worker. You continue to work so hard for our family. You and my baby daddy are so alike it is scary! Thank you for loving us no matter what decisions we make! 

My BIG brother. Such a role model for his own sons and my own.  You love your family unconditionally. Thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of your children's life as well as loving Hen like you do. 

You all ROCK. You all have your crazy personality traits but I Love you all. Thank you for all that y'all do. 

Living Life

We have been so busy having fun that updating this blog is the last on my list. We have been busy playing, going to baseball tournaments and hanging with friends. 

Update on Henry. He is a maniac!!!!!! Loves all things boy. Trucks, cars, any ball, tools, sports and being loud.msems like in the last week he screams when he does anything. He Loves to growl, not sure where this came from but he does it all day, happy or sad. When he is with his cousins he thinks he's just as big as they are. Love the relationship they have with each other.  He survived his first session of swim lessons like a champ. He loves the water this year. He is a mess but in such a fun stage!!!!!!! Love that boy!!!!

Update on Andrew. He is working a ton like usual. He got a new truck that his son thinks is amazing! He has been spring hunting and got him a turkey. Life is good in his eyes!!!

My update! I am busy subbing. I've been with the same class for the last 3 weeks and have 3 more weeks with those sweet angels. It's been quite the experience but I would not change a thing. I have never worked this hard and it was complicated at first but I have and will survive. Ready for the summer. Drew and I have a beach vacation planned, some baseball tournaments and my dreaded school work. 

All about Henry

This week my little man will be 26 months old. 

He is a mess!!! Out of control mess!!!!! He currently can say most words. Almost daily he amazes his dad and I with a new word. I love hearing his new vocabulary. I love asking him a question and him responding with "ok"! If you ask him what his name is he will respond with baby, so we have been trying our hardest to call him by his name rather than our baby!!!!! Andrew is very guilty of calling him baby!!!!!!!!!!! In a good way! 

He is currently obsessed with anything and everything baseball. Good thing he likes baseball considering the amount of tournaments he will be attending this summer. We play a game of catch multiple times a day. He is also obsessed with trucks!!!! No telling how many times in a car ride he mentions trucks. He loves the new show on Disney jr. Sheriff Callie's, he calls it sey sey for horsey. 

I hate to talk about this and jinx ourselves but  mission big boy bed is going so much better. Next up potty training during our spring break!!!!  Not sure I am ready for this as diapers are the only thing keeping him a baby.  

He eats like a pig and currently requests cupcakes a lot!!!! I blame this on recent birthday party attending and them serving cupcakes. So this crazy momma is going to make cupcakes just for her boy this weekend! 

I love this little boy more than he will ever know. I pray that we will always have this amazingly close relationship. I pray that he always thinks I am amazing and wants me to join him on his adventures. I hope that he always looks up to his older cousins and wants to do everything they do as they are the best role models for him.

Brain Dump

Again, life has been super crazy.  I have been subbing daily and loving it!!!!! Hen is busier and hungrier than ever. And of course Andrew has been working nonstop!!!! Life couldn't be better!!!

We had a great Valentines day. Andrew got a little gift every day from February 1-14. It was way easier than I thought it would be! And I got the greatest gift of all!!! A new ring! I had no idea, never in a hundred years did I think that was my gift! Best Valentines ever!!!!!!!

Hen had 2 birthday parties the last two weekends. He had the best time! 

My whole family came last weekend and we had the best time. Hen thought he was a big boy and had the best weekend of his life. He played so hard and loved every minute of the baseball tournament!!!!! I know he can't wait til the next one. And is still asking for his gaga aka Grandma! My moms grand kids sure think she is the best!!!!!! 

I start my classes this weekend. I am very ready to get this first weekend over!!!!

Weekly Review

Last weekend me and little guy headed to Lubbock. No pictures were taken as we were too busy hanging with the fam! Hen had a blast! He LOVES hanging with his cousins!!!!! 

Hen had his first visit to the dentist for a check up. He did much better than I had anticipated. Glad it is over!!!! 

Thursday I had the day off and ran errands all morning plus did some dumpster diving. Yes, dumpster diving, long story, but I was eating breakfast and saw some suspicious men going thru some neat stuff so I decided to join them. And.........Andrew is so happy I did. He got 5 manikins. Just what we needed!!!!! Ends up that Hollister closed in the mall and they just throw everything away. We ended up going back later and got a table, bench and stands for the manikins. Andrew was one happy Dude!!!!! 

My classes start very soon so this weekend we are at home relaxing!!!!!!

And in case your wondering NO Henry is NOT sleeping in his bed!!!! I'm over it, very over it!!!!

Big Boy Bed

Recently I decided it was time to move Henry to his BBB. No reason, just felt since he was 2 it was time. So our journey began. Night one of course went better than expected!!!!! And from then it has just gotten worse. I am ready to throw in the towel. Yes, I admit almost everything else we have done with this child has been a cakewalk.  The past two nights my fat ass and his big butt have tried to sleep in a tiny twin bed. Don't worry Andrew thinks this is nothing, all while he sleeps in our King size bed. The crib is still set up and I would love to throw his but back in it! Hoping tonight is better as I am exhausted right now.  

In a few short weeks were going to tackle potty training so I would love to get this done before another adventure begins.  

Seriously who wouldn't want to cuddle with this dude all night!!!!! 

Christmas 2013 and New Years

Christmas has come and gone. I can't say I am sad that it's all over. It's hard work, it's stressful and tiring. 

We went to my inlaws for the first part. Henry got his beloved truck there. It sure makes our walks easier.  

We then headed to Lubbock to celebrate with my family. I only took pictures with my good camera, which is haven't uploaded. 

We had a good time with family and got everything on our lists. This is the first year in years that I actually made a list and I am blessed to say I got everything I wanted. I must have been good. 

We had a blast celebrating Hen's 2nd Birthday. We made our first trip to Mr.Gattis. Hen and I loved it but Andrew was not impressed. Not much to offer here in Midland but he doesn't seem to understand!!! 

We had a pretty calm NYE, although it was fun we celebrated with our new friends, The Clicks. We had a nice steak dinner and the adults got to play some games while the kids played!!! We were in bed by 10, we're getting old!!! On New Year's Day I went to the famous Dillard's sale, I got some great stuff. This will become a tradition. Next year I just want Dillard's gift cards for Christmas to prepare.

What an amazing year this little guy has given us. We are so blessed to be his parents! With his vocabulary and personality blooming I cannot wait to see what the next year holds! Love ya BIG boy!!!!

Quick Update

We have been super busy so of course the blog has been neglected!

Thanksgiving was wonderful. We went to Lubbock, ate some great food, us girls shopped and just hung out. Black Friday wasn't near as exciting as years past. I think that might have been then end of my Black Friday shopping. Andrew went hunting and got us a deer, so we can continue to eat!!!

We have had snow here in Midland which has caused many days at home. It was fine with me because we needed some time at home.

Last weekend Andrew and I headed to Dallas for a few days. Much needed!!!! We ate meals with adult conversation, I got to eat whatever I wanted without having to share and we went to a great football game. Wow! Go Pack Go!!!!!! It was good to spend time with the hubby but I was sure excited to see my baby!

Next up for this weekend is Christmas with both sides of our family and then back to our home for Christmas just the 3 of us. I. Cannot. Wait. And the. Of course someone is turning 2!!!!!

It's been an amazing year and I have so much to be Thankful for!!!!!

Thursday Thoughts Thanksgiving Edition

* I am Thankful to have a few days off to spend with family.

* I am Thankful for my recent career change. I quit my career in the mental health field all in hopes of being accepted into a teaching certification program. I got in!! Hopefully everything will continue to go smoothly with this change.

* Henry started another new daycare and of course he never skipped a beat. He loves it and already acts like he runs the place. This will be his home until he starts kinder.

* I am beyond Thankful for my amazing husband. He loves me unconditionally and uses all his patience on me.  I am Thankful for his hard work that has allowed me to make this recent career change. I am Thankful he allows me to be me and loves me for that.

* I am so Thankful that I am Henry's mom. I love hearing him call my name from the other room and how he is definetly a momma's boy. I am Thankful that I was chosen to have this job that I truly cherish.

* I am Thankful for my family. My parents are the greatest. I know they don't always 100% agree with our parenting choices but they support us anyways. They are always willing to help us in anyway even if that means putting their life on hold. For that I am Thankful.
I am Thankful for my brother's family. His three kids melt my heart! His kids are great with Henry and he thinks they are the greatest thing EVER!

Busy, Busy

We have been busy going from here to there. I have been subbing and have definetly got my foot in the door at some schools. I am going to a new school tomorrow and then the rest of the week at the same school. 

We have been in Lubbock the last few weekends. Lots of cousin time! We will be back there for Thanksgiving! I can't believe the holidays are right around the corner. Good thing we are super close to being done with our shopping. I guess with the warm temps I don't feel like it can be thanksgiving/Christmas. AND I will have a 2 year old sooner than later. 

About that  almost 2 year old, he is still having fun enjoying the terrible 2's. Due to this him and his dad both need an attitude adjustment. Drive me crazy!!!! Just keeping it real people, it's not all lollipops around here!  I truly love them but they can make me pull out my hair.

Catch Up

We had a blast this past weekend in Lubbock with our friends, the Reeves.  Our Red Raiders didn't pull out a W, but it was still fun. We had an amazing tailgate spot, right by the field and the weather was perfect.  We made a short visit to the bar after the game which was fun! 

Andrew is going hunting on Wednesday so we have a short week at home. Hen and I are headed to Lubbock again. I am  going to relax and get my haircut. I have waited too long since my last one and need it dearly.  I am truly blessed to be able to do all these things!!!!!! Loving my Life!!!! 

Halloween 2013

We had so much fun with our little Turkey. He did great with his costume and trick or treating. He loved loading up his pumpkin and loved hafnium out goodies. 

Can't wait to see his reactions for Christmas and his birthday.

Thursday Thoughts

* As of tomorrow this mama is unemployed and could not be more excited. I had doubts but now I know it was the right decision and will be very happy. Hurry up Friday!!!!

* Poor Andrew lost a very dear friend this week. I am so glad that we got to see him a few months ago. I know Andrew is very sad about this although he is acting tough. Andrew is very lucky and lost very few people.

* Henry and I are headed to Lubbock tomorrow for Crim's bday. I know he will love it, it's his first birthday party to attend. We're also going to get the boys play football and Cal play baseball. Going to have a blast.

* Next weekend we are headed back to Lubbock for the Tech/OSU game with our friends the Reeves. I cannot make promises that I am not going to get as intoxicated as I did last time. Let's face  it we have some major gossip to catch up on and need to celebrate my unemployment!!!!! CANNOT.WAIT!

* I cannot wait to see Hen in his full Halloween costume. We're going to try trick or treating, should be interesting.  

Thursday Thoughts

 

* What a day I have had. Let's just say I will not be receiving mom of the year. Let's just say Firetrucks and pop a lock were involved. A great way to start the morning. I think it's safe to say me and that darn kid of mine have learned a lesson. 

* Because of the incidents mentioned before I did go buy me some new sunglasses and can't wait for them to come in. It was either that or a bottle of tequila!!!! 

* In just a few short days I will no longer be employed.  I.Am.A.Nervous.Wreck. Hope we have made the right decision. Fingers crossed!

* A very special little girl has a birthday next week and I can't wait to go to Lubbock and celebrate next weekend.  Such a special bond between her and my little man. 

* We had a great weekend at the farm last weekend. Andrew won a new gun, so of course he is in heaven. Just what we needed another gun. Seriously I could have used some shoes or something! 

* I have never been so excited to put up my Christmas tree. I cannot wait. And of course I have the best person to help me, my mom!

* Speaking of my mom she is coming next week to stay for a few days. It will be nice to have her here during the week vs. just the weekend. So glad we live so close. Can't believe we have almost been back in Tx for a year. 

Farm bound!!!!

Thursday Thoughts

* We are leaving soon for a long weekend at the farm. Not my dream vacation but it will be nice to get away. We actually have some fun things planned so it should be fun. And we get to stop in Lubbock and see my parents!!!!!! 

*Life has been busy. Crazy busy!!!!! I have ran from one place to the next. Hope it will slow down soon.  

* Henry is a mess! He keeps us super busy. He makes us laugh and is trying to talk more and more. If you could only hear the conversations we have. 

* I have been working out more and it has made me feel amazing! Hope to keep this up. It is so much easier when you have someone to do it with! 

* I cannot wait for Halloween to see how Hen reacts.  I hope to have time to make him and his friends sugar cookies. Could be a complete fail but I'm gonna try. 

* BIG changes ahead for our fam!!!! Fingers crossed were making he right choice!!!!! 

This is Hen's new little friend. Her mom has become an amazing friend and thankfully our kids kind of like each other!!!! He was at a play date at her house yesterday while I was at meeting #1 of the day. 

Week in Review

Life has been busy, super busy. 

I always hate Mondays. My busiest day at work. After work Hen and I walked to park and played. It was scorching hot. 

Tuesday nothing too exciting happened. 

Wednesday was work again and a trip to Wal Mart. After school we went on a walk with friends. Again it was too hot for such activity!!!

Thursday work a little, and a little extra time. Again walk with friends but this time in the air conditioned mall. We finally used our heads. 

Friday best day of all! Worked and had some me time. Andrew picked up Hen from school(first time EVER) and we went out to dinner. Andrew watched a dumb movie and I went to bed. 

And now I type this from my fluffy couch as Hen plays and Andrew watches one of his many shows. We're waiting on our company to arrive!  

Big day on Sunday as we are going to a corn maze/pumpkin patch!!!! 

Wordless Wednesday

Life Lately

Both of  my parents have been sick. It sucks, wish it was me instead of them. I'm sure they wish that too. As much as it stinks it's really minor compared to some. Hopefully they will be well soon and back to normal.

We had a very calm weekend. I didn't get dressed all weekend. We had some good meals and did some needed chores. And little man took a much needed really long nap.  I got bored at times! 

I can't believe the holidays are almost here. We have almost all of Hen's Christmas and birthday gifts bought. I have even bought some of his stocking stuffers. It will be so much fun this year. I am headed to Hobby Lobby shortly to get some goodies to make some fall garland.  We'll see how that goes.

One of my very dear friends got engaged over the weekend. I am so happy for her! Love ya Leah!!!!  

Henry's Baptism

Henry is officially Baptized. I am glad the celebration is over and I can now relax. It was a very special day with our family and friends. We had professional pictures made, fingers crossed their good! But here are some iPhone pics.
