Nothing exciting

NOTHING EXCITING has been going on here.  I went with Andrew to work one day this week and was going to go yesterday but he had to do something so I did some things around the house.  Today I chose to stay home cause it's suppose to be chilly and I need to clean before our visitor comes and looks at the house on Monday. 

This weekend we don't have any plans.  Tomorrow we are going to go to Andrew's work and do some more cleaning and then hopefully run some errands.  And then the rest of the weekend we will probably just watch basketball.

Our neighbors came over earlier this week and wanted to have all of the neighbors to their house to meet us. So...... thats what we will be doing next week.  We are going to a dinner party in our honor!!!!!!  It is totally out of Andrew's comfort zone so it will probably be really funny.  I will post about it next week!!

House

We are officially done getting the house together.  For now I will show you pictures of our upstairs and later in the week I will venture down to the basement and take pictures of it.   It is not near as exciting as the upstairs so we will save it til later.

Workin Woman

I have gone to work with Andrew the past two days.  It has NOT been fun!!!!  I am ready to have a job of my own so I don't feel like I have to earn my keep and go to work with him.  His store did need lots of cleaning and still needs more.  I didn't go today because we are going there tomorrow and I will go next week and possibly need to finish the next week.  It is sooooo dirty and its hard to get lots done when they are trying to do business so we might get a lot done tomorrow so I won't have to go much next week.  It has been nice getting out of the house but I never thought I would have to clean some of the stuff that I have had to clean.  I am so thankful he has a job and guess I will suck it up and support and help him as much as I can. 

We have two deer and a duck to hang and the house will be 100% done so pictures are coming.  Hopefully Monday morning I will be able to post those, so check back.  I am also going to be able to show ya'll our front yard without much snow and the pond is thawing out.  Things are starting to look more and more like spring around here. 

We got our passports yesterday so we are headed to Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I need a vacation from this awful,terrible depressing vacation I have been on!!!!!!!!!!!

Parent's Weekend

My parents came to visit for the weekend.  We had tons of fun.  I picked them up from the airport on Wednesday we got a gyro and came home and mom and I started working on the house.  Thursday morning we did more house stuff and then went to Mall of America and Ikea.  We had a great lunch at Ruby Tuesday's.  That afternoon we went to Lakeville to Andrew's store and had dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.  On the way home my parent's and I stopped by a furniture store and found a good deal on a dining room table.  Friday morning dad and I went and picked up the table.  Andrew got off at noon and we went to eat at Cheesecake Factory and then went to two different malls.  We had a big lunch so we weren't real hungry for supper so we just got some burgers from White Castle.  They were AWFUL!!!!!  We will not be eating there again.  Saturday morning we went to the outlet mall and everyone got something so it was a success!  For dinner we went into Minneapolis and ate at Buca di Beppo.  It was the original one and was great.  We had an appetizer of calamari which Andrew swore was the best he had ever had.  He ate enough for a few people.  We then all shared a salad and two different pasta dishes.  It was wonderful and we will be going back.  After we ate we went to a flagship Target that was downtown.  It did have a good selection but we did not buy anything.  Sunday morning we went back to Minneapolis to eat brunch at Hell's Kitchen.  it was my favorite place so far.  I ate enough for a few people at this meal.  I can't wait to go back!!!!!  After brunch we came back to the house and we all took a nap until it was time to take mom and dad to the airport.  Good thing we did cause mom and dad had an adventure on their way home and actually did not get home until Monday morning. 

Dad and Mom-----Thank you for everything you did for us while ya'll were here.  The house looks PERFECT!!!! We had a blast and can't wait til ya'll come back. 

TODAY

Today my parents are coming for a long weekend.  I need this more than I could ever imagine.  Without a job I have gotten pretty bored and lonely.  As we speak they are in the air to Chicago.  They left Lubbock early this morning.  I will pick them up later this afternoon and then we are going to get a Gyro for supper.  Andrew and I are very excited to eat one again.  The plans for the weekend are not too exciting but I am just glad to have company and finally get the house finished.

On another note, did any of ya'll watch the new show Parenthood last night?  I LOVED it!!!!!  I did cry like a baby at the end but I really enjoyed it and will be watching it weekly.  Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Weekend

We had another great weekend here in our new state.  I did not do much last week so I was anxious to get out of the house.  On Friday we ate dinner at home and rented movies.  Saturday morning we went to look for the perfect Taxidermist and thankfully he found one at the first one we went too.  He was happy about that so that made me happy that that adventure was short.  We then checked out a random grocery store.  There are tons of grocery stores here, and I have not found one that I am crazy about.  As of right now I am doing our shopping at Target because all of the Targets here are Super Targets.  This could be dangerous because I will probably always wonder over to the clothes.  Back to the weekend.  Then we went to eat a Gyro that I had mentioned before that we were going to do.  Well the verdict is.............. it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We ate there for lunch and I could have eaten there again for dinner.  I can't wait to go back.  Neither of us had ever had one and now it may be one of our favorite foods!  We then went home and Andrew did more work on the basement.  Then I remembered a shopping area that I wanted to check out so we went and liked it and will go back.  We then went and had pizza at a new place and did not like it very well, we will not go there again.  The excitement of our weekend was on Sunday.  Sunday morning we went to a Greek restaurant for brunch.  It was good and had a huge assortment.  We had omelets,waffles,fruit,hashbrowns,chicken wings,prime rib and gyros(again). It was really good but we will not be going back due to the $$$$$$ unless it is a special occassion.  Then we came home and I cleaned house then took a nap then we went out to dinner with one of the couples that we are going to Mexico with.  It was fun and Andrew did drink too much and he was sooooo funny.  Probably the first time he has really drank since being in MN. 


My parents are coming on Wednesday and we are going to do some decorating,shopping and eating.  We are going to try another place for brunch on Sunday.  Hopefully it is as good as the expensive one!!!!  Can't wait to see them!!!!!!!!!!


Then my aunt Bobbie is coming to visit at the end of the month.  It will be a quick visit but I am still excited!!!

Here is just a random picture that Andrew took Valentine's weekend.  We have had a week in the 30's so a lot of the snow has melted.  It has really been nice and going to be nice for the next few days!!
