Date Weekend

Last weekend we had  date night on Friday and Saturday.  Friday we went to see the Timberwolves play.  It was not a good game and they lost but it was still fun.  It was husbands first NBA game.  Then on Saturday we went to dinner at a Cuban restaurant.  Husband has been wanting to go to this place for months and I think that I enjoyed it more than he did.  His dish had onions so he didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my cuban sandwich.  After dinner we came home and watched RepoMen.  It was ok, very odd.  I stayed awake for the whole movie so it must have not been that bad.  Sunday we watched to Packers WIN!!!!  Husband was very excited about this!!!!!

I took pictures of the game and our wonderful seats but I will have to post those later.

1 Year Ago Today

One year ago today Husband and I boarded a plane from Midland, TX to Minnesota.  We enjoyed our visit a lot and now looking back I am not sure we though that we could really be living there in one short month.

We arrived in Minnesota and went straight to our hotel.  We had not eaten since leaving TX so we then went to eat at Macarroni Grill then went back to the hotel for a good nights rest since Husband had a BIG interview the next morning.  BIG is really an understatement considering it took all day.  So....I was stuck in our hotel room all day.  To pass the time I did spend some time on Craigslist looking for possible houses(which worked out PERFECTLY for us).  Husband and Mike did come and take me for lunch at Olive Garden and then back to the room for me!!!  Husband finally showed up later in the afternoon and we went to dinner and to Mall of America for the first time.  Dinner was at a dive called the Weinery(we have not been again) and I don't think we bought one thing at the mall.  So very uneventful night.  Saturday morning we woke up and headed out to look at homes, which was not very successful.  We got to go into ONE home and I got excited and wanted to sign the paperwork, Thankful husband stood up and said "NO".  So the journey continued with many phone calls and no call backs.  The last house that we did see I LOVED!!  We only saw the outside and could look into the windows.  BUT I did love it.  I cannot remember for the life of me what we did for dinner this night.  I am guessing it was good though.  Sunday morning we boarded our plane back to TX not sure if we would ever be back in  Minnesota again.  Needless to say here we are!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will post more on this adventure this month as we did make the MOVE!!!!!!!!

Also....I have a new very special reader to my BLOG.  I love this guy with all of my HEART!!!! Him and his brother and little sister are VERY special to me and I miss them everyday!!!!  Calaway Alan call me anytime now that you have your own cell phone.

Christmas Day

We had Christmas at my brothers house.  We went over in the morning and we had brunch.  We then started our many games and Chinese Christmas.  It seemed to have lasted all day this year.  It was a blast and everyone went home with something they wanted.  The games really did improve this year although I will admit that I think mine was the worst AGAIN.  We ate, played, played, ate and played more.  We ended the night by playing the boys Michael Jackson game for the Wii.  It was a blast.  AGAIN here are the pictures!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful time in Amarillo but  we did not take one picture.  I know my FIL took some when we opened presents so maybe I will borrow some of his later.  Anyways, we finished up our festivities in Amarillo by stopping by Grandpas and Grandmas and seeing the Willis family.  It was fun our short time there and I wish we could have stayed longer.

We spent Christmas Eve evening in Lubbock at my parents house.  Ryan's family weren't able to join us for much but we did have fun.  The grown-ups cooked fajitas and us kids played cards just like old times.  I will let the pictures tell the story!

ACG all the way from St. Thomas!

Stefanie obviously had already lost!

We played Left,Right Center after dinner

This little girl stopped by later and was SUPER tired!

Some of us had too much to drink this night.  We went to bed to prepare for the all day festivities of Christmas!

HOME

We made it home from TEXAS on Monday evening.  We had a wonderful time but were glad to be home.  This week at work has been crazy but I can't complain after having 7 days off.  I will do a post with pictures this weekend with all of our trips details.  We have LOTS NOTHING planned for this weekend so I won't have an excuse for not blogging.  I have most of my Christmas decor put up so I have to finish that this weekend.

Last Post.................

My last post was about the amount of snow we had at the time.  But that is nothing compared to the amount we have now.  We survived one of the worst snow storms that has hit Minnesota in the last 5 years.  It was awful.  Needless to say Husband was convinced we had to go to Estate sales early Saturday morning.  So we went and the roads and snow were awful.  After going a mile our windshield wipers would be solid ice and not work anymore.  Husband said a FEW bad words.  I was scared to death.  We then had breakfast since we were already out and picked up a sandwich for dinner since we had originally planned to go out and knew that was not going to happen.  Well that turned out to be an AWFUL idea.   We got sandwiches from Jimmy John's and ended up getting food poisoning.  So needless to say all day Sunday we slept and laid around.  We have never been sick together and it was not fun.  Not the kind of Bonding I was looking for!!!!!!   We did survive and back to normal.

We leave later this week for Christmas.  We have A LOT to do before it can happen though.  Tonight we have to finish packing, tomorrow work party and Thursday JL party.  I am glad we are busy though it will make the time go by faster!!!  I can't wait to see all of our AMAZING friends and family.

SNOW, snow and more SNOW

This is very similar to what it looks like here.  Yesterday it started snowing and snowed about 5-6 inches.  And it just started snowing again.  I am not sure I am prepared for this.  It sure does get you in the Christmas spirit though.  Earlier today you could hear Christmas tunes coming from our basement.  Husband LOVES Christmas music.  He will [robably kill me for sharing that with everyone but that is the truth.  We are getting out of the house for the first time in a minute to go to Home Depot, a Hobby store(for husband) and to the grocery store.
13 more days and were OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
