BOY!!!!!!!!!!

Of course we are thrilled and would have been either way.  If you know BD you know he will love having a football watching friend and a hunting buddy.  I am fine with a little boy because I sure do LOVE the other little boys in my life and can't wait to see all the adventures they take our little guy on.(Hopefully he will have a name sooner than later)

I have some pictures I will post this weekend.  Right now I am just down right too tired.  We had a HUGE dinner(not what baby and I wanted but at least BD fed us!) and went shopping so I am officially done for the day!

One of my many Plans

Since we found out we were expecting I knew that I wanted to find out the sex of our baby with gender reveal cupcakes. I would love to have a gender reveal party but since we live by no family or friends I knew that wasn't an option. So I had decided that BD would go to the appointment but we would leave the appointment with our answer in an envelope,then we would take our envelope to a local cupcakery and have them insert the proper color of icing into cupcakes. When I told husband this he said well then I'm not going and I'll just find out at dessert time. I agreed to this. So as of earlier this week I was going alone. Well then I talked to one of my friends and she said I might want to reconsider since the sono is pretty intensive and you never know I might need some support. So I thought about it and decided we will go to the appointment together and we will find out together there at the appointment! Then we will go buy our guy/gal their first outfit from mom and dad,then go to dinner and have dessert. We will soak it up as a couple for a few hours before informing family and friends-this is an advantage we have by living far away!!!

This is the plan as of now but who's to say my mind won't change!!b

With our second and last baby we will do it a fun way so we can include our guy/gal!! I think that's why I am ok with doing it the old fashioned way first go round.

Name Game

I would have never thought that naming a child would be such a challenge,whirlwind or adventure. A year ago we thought we had names for a girl and boy picked out. To our surprise we finally found out we were having a little one we realized the names we had chosen were not still options. So to the books and internet we went,which was a joke. Most of those names are from other countries and we all know BD would never allow our child to have a name from another country. BD was pickier than me, no last names as first names,no boy names for girls and he would prefer to not know anyone that he doesn't like have the same name. To my surprise we were able to come up with girls names a lot easier than boy names!! So the list began a few months ago for first and middle names. The middle names were very easy too as they were all family names. On our drive home this weekend we discussed going ahead and settling on a boy and girl name. Well needless to say I have had some anxiety about this! I would love to wait and see what the little guy/gal looks like first but I LOVE monogrammed things so I don't really think waiting is a good idea. So we think we know what his/her name is but I think we will wait until we see their sweet face in the sono on Tuesday.

The middle names we chose for girl are:
Ann(my moms middle name)
Kay(my middle name)
Lynn(BD's moms middle name)

The middle names we chose for boy are:
Alan(my dads,brother and Calaways middle name)
Joseph(BD's middle name)
Thomas(BD's brothers middle name and my grandads first name)

The middle names have been chosen!!! As long as the girl name doesn't change!!! BD did decide over the weekend that if this baby is a boy he wants him to have his middle name. So well all see come Tuesday!!!!

19 weeks

I didn't get to do an 18 week photo since they are usually done on the weekend and we were out of town.  So to make sure that doesn't happen again I decided to do one during the week (but of course it won't post)

Gender: Guy/Gal- next week is the big week!

Maternity Clothes: Not really, but it will be real soon

Weight gain: 2 pounds (from last appt., but thats probably changed)

Movement: I had a little break in between clients today and was relaxing and did feel some kicks 

Sleep: Just waking up to pee!

Symptoms: I am still tired from staying up late over the weekend. Heartburn, heartburn and more heartburn

What I miss: nothing YET!

Cravings: Nothing this week.

Best moment this week:  Feeling little kicks!!!!

I will try and take some pictures this weekend and hopefully they will post!!!  I have had problems with pictures of the nephews/niece too.  Super frustrating!!!!!

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Packer Paradise

Over the weekend husband and I went to Wisconsin to go to a Packer game and to visit some family.  We had a wonderful time although I am still trying to catch up on my sleep from the weekend.  The Packers won so it was a good game. 

Husband got some military stuff (like we need anymore) from his family members.  He got a picture of his great-grandfather and his discharge papers.  He also got his great uncles uniform.  He was in heaven all weekend.  We also went to an antique mall and he got some goodies there.  It was a good weekend get away!!!!!!!

MOM

My mom recently bought a new sewing maching that does lots of neat things.  She bought it for many reasons, as she is pretty handy but one reason is for her wonderful grandchildren that she has.  She has just started but has made some pretty cutte things.  My favorite so far is the boys pillowcases.  I know they will love taking them on all their baseball trips!!!!

17 Weeks

 

 

 

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 17 weeks

Size of baby: 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 inches and 3.5 ounces

Gender: ??????????

Maternity Clothes: Not really but I do have some bottoms that I have worn

 

Movement: I think I felt it move last night

Sleep: No problems except having to get up to use the bathroom 

Symptoms: I got heartburn/indigestion for the first time on Monday and I was in tears it hurt so bad.  I had eaten Taco Bell for lunch so needless to say I will not be eating there again. 

What I miss: nothing really

Cravings: last week I craved blueberry muffins but nothing this week.

What I am looking forward to: Finding out what we are having, registering and go to TX one last time and getting to go thru all of the goodies there!!!!!
