Single Digits
Nope not talking about the temperatures here in Mn but talking about the amount of days we have left before we are Texans again. Earlier this week I mentioned to Andrew that it seemed like this has been planned for a while. He informed me that it has been going on for 2 months but really longer than that if we consider when we started discussing the possibility. Needless to say we are sick of living amongst boxes. I am so over it!!!! It's not fun and it's not fair for our little guy. And.........
then there is our house disaster. I don't even know where to begin and am just going to say that it sucks but truly we have way more to be thankful for than to complain about. Hopefully we will have some definite answers in the next few days.
Back to being Thankful. I am so Thankful that I have my two boys, I love them so much. They both make me smile, cry and happier than I ever have been. They mean the world to me. I am so Thankful that Andrew and I are both employed. Thankful for my parents and brother and his family. Can't imagine what I would do without my family. So Thankful for our friends. Love that I can chat with some of my girlfriends thru text messaging. Love technology!
Please say a prayer for those impacted by the train crash in our soon to be town. It breaks my heart to think of what these families have and are going through. This morning as it was on the National news I was telling Henry that we would soon be living in that town and I started to tear up. I remember this event from when we lived in Midland, such a special time for those involved. Wish I was there to help. Many of my friends have made their way to donate blood.

Boring Post
I am officially unemployed. I have mixed emotions about this. I know my time left in Mn will go by quickly with all of the little stuff we have to tie up but I will miss going to work everyday. Although I know I will LOVE all of my extra time with Henry. And I am extra glad that his days at his daycare are over. I hated dropping him off although it didn't seem to phase him as he never cried when I dropped him off. Andrew and I think that he didn't mind going there because she never watched him and he was free to roam and do what he pleased. Glad those days are over!!!!!! Over the next 8 days we have some errands and little chores that we must complete before Andrew's last day of work.
We are not going to be able to close on the original planned date but it will still work out. We are getting frustrated with our underwriter but know it will be worth it in the long run. Thankfully we have a few days to play with. Soon we will be home owners!!!!!!!
Less than 2 weeks and my mom will be coming to visit one last time. Henry and I can't wait. We are going to shop, lounge and of course eat.
We got our pictures from our photographer and they are precious. Thankful that I was able to get them done while still living here.

10 Months
Henry Joseph-----
You are 10 months old. You are so busy and so much fun. You have 3 teeth(one on top and 2 on bottom). You love to eat and really aren't that picky. You are taking 3 bottles a day and 3 naps a day while you are home with me(daycare is another story). You are sleeping thru the night. You love to sit at the front door and wait for daddy to come home from work. You are still obsessed with your Lovey at bedtime. Your favorite thing to do right now is stand up. You don't really have to do anything while standing up you just like to look around. You are trying to say more and more words, it's so cute to watch your little mind work. You are such a blessing to us and we have loved watching you change over the past few months. We have some super exciting times coming up and we can't wait to share them with you.
Dad and I Love you so much!!!!!!

One year ago today we were completely slapped in the face. I went for my regularly scheduled OB appointment and for my glucose screening. The appointment started off fine. I drank the nasty drink and waited. Then the fun began. They took my BP and it was high. So my Dr checked me out and then monitored our baby for a while and continued to check my BP. Needless to say my BP wasn't going down. So........... they sent me to the nearest hospital to be monitored closer for a few hours. I called Andrew crying and couldn't call my mom because I was crying too hard. Andrew and I met at the hospital and I got monitored for a few hours and we were sent on our way. At my follow up appointment bed rest was mentioned but I just thought my Dr was crazy. Fast forward to the next week, Andrew is going to Tx to go hunting one last time before baby and my parents were coming to town to take care of me and prepare the baby's room. I have another appointment while my parents are here and the dreaded bed rest becomes reality. Nothing has improved, BP is still high!!!!!!!! I am monitored again and told that this will become a weekly thing and may deliver as early as 34 weeks, be put in the hospital for steroid shots and will not be able to deliver at our planned hospital due to me now being high risk. Wow, so much to take in!!!!!! Thankfully my parents are here during this time but of course Andrew is gone!!!!! So I have another follow up appointment on that following Tuesday that my mom refuses to miss. So Andrew is now back and mom and I go to the Dr and I was immediately sent to the hospital for the shots. Another rush of emotions!!!!!!! It really wasn't so bad but soooooooo Thankful that my mom was here. It was a quick 48 hours and then I was sent home on very strict bed rest. Fun Times!!!!! So back to the weekly appointments of tests and BP checks. When this all began I told my Dr that I would NOT deliver before 37 weeks. She looked at me like I was crazy but I knew my baby was not going to spend any time in the NICU. We did have a few little scares and hospital stay but we made it. Wow crazy to think how much we have to be Thankful for. It was horrible at the time but more than worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

October 2012
It seems like this has been a long month. It is finally coming to an end. We have had a lot to do and accomplished a lot.
We started the Halloween festivities before Henry and I headed to Tx by going to a Fall festival at a local greenhouse. It was a chilly morning so you can't see that Henry is sporting costume #1 under his jacket. He was a sailor.
Then we made our way to Tx and attended an amazing party for Henry's adorable cousins. My mom and SIL seriously outdid themselves. A party to remember. It was the kids 3rd and final year to have a Halloween Carnival for their birthday celebration. I think 2 boys might be getting too big for this celebration!!!!
Today is Halloween and of course it is cold so Henry is wearing a Halloween tshirt. And his daycare sucks so who knows if he was allowed to wear a costume. But regardless we had fun dressing up this morning and will continue to celebrate this evening. We are going to have pizza and Hen and daddy are going to watch The Great Pumpkin. Daddy is super excited about this and has been looking forward to if for a year now.
Henry's hair continues to be out of control. Last night it was combed so nicely and this morning he wakes up looking like this. I have combed it but he is napping now so well see what it looks like when he wakes. WTH??????? Drives his dad crazy!!!!!
Looking forward to November. BIG things happening. We will become Texans, we get to move into our new house and see friends and family. Looking forward to new beginnings!!!!!!!

Done, Done and Done
Found a house- Check
Find daycare for baby- Check
Buy all new furniture plus accessories- Check
So Hen's and I's little vacation to Texas is over!!!!!!!!!! We had an amazing but busy time. We loved the party, he just sat in his stroller and watched all of the big kids have a ball. My mom and sister in law can plan some parties. It was super hot but the kids barely noticed.
Sunday my parents and I went to Midland to start the house hunt. Man was it funny!!!! Our realtor(which I love) is more redneck than my husband!!!!!! One of the houses had more cats living in it than I do family members. One was was just crazy. And then we had two top contenders. So the first house I saw I thought was the perfect house. We saw it first and then looked at junk, then went back to the first one and double checked everything and then decided we would look at just one more. I am so thankful we did. Ends up that we saved the best for last. I am in LOVE with our first home. It is so us!!!!!!!!!!! It has an updated kitchen which I love, 2 living areas and an amazing master bath. And then 4 bedrooms one for Andrew and I, one for Andrew's crazy military stuff, one for the baby and then one to spare. We are getting new carpet in the bedrooms and have a little painting to do but over all its pretty move in ready which we needed. I can't wait for Andrew to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4 more weeks and we will officially be Texans. Andrew got a ton packed up this weekend so we don't have much left to do here. It will be here before we know it and now that we have a house it seems much more real.
Thank you Mom and Dad for all of your help. I couldn't have done it without ya'll. You helped so much with Hen and helped me pick out the perfect house. Thanks a ton.
I found Hen a temporary and then a permanent daycare. He will start in January at one and then go to another in November. I know November seems so far away but it will go by quickly and it will be an important time in his life so we are excited about the permanent daycare.
I also found a new couch(needed a new one since we will have 2 living areas), lamps, recliner and lots of other goodies. Now we just have to get there so mom and I can decorate!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to be close to friends and family. You all MUST come visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
