The Stars at night, are BIG and bright
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The prairie sky is wide and high,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The Sage in bloom is like perfume,
Deep in the heart of Texas
Reminds me of, the one I Love,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The coyotes wail, along the trail,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The rabbits rush,around the bush,
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The cowboys cry, "Ki-yip-pee-yi",
Depp in the Heart of Texas
The doggies bawl, and bawl and bawl
Deep in the Heart of Texas.
My weekend in Texas was amazing and much needed. Of course I gave these 3 little kids tons of love. The run down of the trip went something like this.
Thursday- Mom picked me up from the airport, we grabbed something to eat and went to a few stores in Lubbock and then had dinner at Thai Pepper. We then went to The kids house and saw them and took Crim home with us for the night.
Friday- We woke up and had a breakfast burrito from Rudy's and did more shoppoing. Heather met us after lunch and we did more shoppoing and then went to 50 Yard Line for dinner.
Saturday- The boys had baseball practice so us girls did some more shopping then met the boys for lunch and then went to moms to decorate Easter eggs(yes, late but we were celebrating Easter) and cooked out.
Sunday- We had Easter at moms. I cooked pizza and wraps for them all. heather swears it was the best meal she has ever had. Then we had an Easter egg hunt.
It was all a blast and I am so thankful that I am able to make these visits to Texas.
(For some reason Coleman and I sang Deep in the Heart of Texas all weekend so I thought it went perfect for this post!)
How in the world is CRD that big? I am in love with her hair...she looks so grown up with it pulled back! I know they loved seeing you...sorry we were MIA. I cannot wait to see you so very soon!
