HJVB-

Your dad and I cannot believe that you are already half a year old.  You are starting to really show your personality.  And everyday you are showing that you are your dads child.  You look just like him and act just like him.  Daddy says that you are only like me in two ways, which are sneezing and a deep sleeper.  You LOVE you food and usually cry for more!!!  We started you on Stage 2 baby food this week because you didn't seem to be getting enough and it sure has helped.  You go to the Dr next week and I cannot wait to see how much you weigh.  I think you will be eating normal food way before your 1st birthday!!!!  We have had a few sleeping issues, mainly to due with teething and you not getting enough food.  But you are doing much better now and I am thankful for this.  You are so close to sitting up on your own, and we are ready for you to do this.  You have a busy next few weeks, I hope you are ready for all of your upcoming visitors.  I look forward to seeing what the next month holds.  We LOVE you!!!!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Disclaimer: By no means am I calling my mom a monkey but I thought it was a cute title!!!!!

My mom can see something and totally recreate it for always cheaper than what it is selling for.  There is no telling how many things she has made for the princess in our family and how many things she has made for me and my sis n law.  She is beyond crafty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  She also recently got a monnograming machine and has made Hen a ton of things. I have to show off one of her most recent creations.

Boring, Boring and more Boring

We did absolutely nothing exciting this past weekend in the eyes of most.  But truth be known it was a great time!!!! 
Friday we had our usual Thai dinner.  Kind of a weekly tradition in our house although sometimes we get tired of it and switch it up bit.  Saturday we had plans to finish Father's day at Ft. Snelling but there looked like a chance of rain so we decided to go to the Veteran's Cemetery instead.  Again it was not what we thought it was so we went to Mall Of America to try out our new stroller.  Good thing we Loved the stroller cause I have been going round and round with Babies R Us over it.  Still don't like that place even though we went again this weekend! Sunday morning we did chores around the house and then went to Target and Babies R Us.  Then we came home and went swimming.  Little guy Loves the water but it sure does wear him out.  He took a 2 hour nap after a 30 minute swim.  He's silly!!!!!!

Less than 20 days and grandad and grandma will be here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am beyond excited.  This mommy needs her some mommy time!!!!!  I know it will be a great time had by all!!!!

And then we have even more visitors coming.  The Baker's are coming to town and we have some BIG things planned.  We can't wait and I know one BIG boy that is just beside himself that his BFF is coming. 

And believe it or not we will officially have a 6 month old baby later this week.  How is that even possible?

Hodgepodge

Father's Day didn't go exactly as planned.  We didn't get to go to the fort so we are going to try and go this weekend.  Again I am NOT looking forward to this!!!!! Besides that and the rain it was a good weekend.  I think Andrew had a pretty good day. I made his requested meal and dessert.  We took pictures but right now I am too laxy to upload them.

Speaking of lazy, Henry has not slept in a few nights.  Besides cutting teeth and the terrifying storms we have had it has made this mommy pretty tired.  I am hoping the worst of the teething is over but who knows.  Teething sure hasn't messed with his appetite.  He sure LOVES him some fruit.  Although there really hasn't been much the kid hasn't liked.  Must get that from his dad just like everything else. 

Glad tomorrow is Wednesday and one week closer to 2 of my most favorite people coming to visit.  Seems like forever since we saw them.  Short and sweet post!!!

Thursday Thoughts

* The weather today is super depressing.  I can only imagine how my client will be today, ugh!!!!! 

* I officially can say that I am NOT a fan of Babies R Us.  Everything about that store makes me furious.  We went to a buy a stroller that was on sale that they suprisingly did not have in stock.  So we ordered it and they shipped it to the wrong address.  After I spent an hour with them making sure everything was entered correctly.  After many phone calls I got more $$$$$$$$$  taken off our order.  Needless to say they lost $$$$ on that stroller.  Their problem not mine.  Thankfully the stroller went to grandad and grandma's house and grandma works in the shipping business.  We will have the stroller for our Father's day outings. 

* My NOT working Fridays didn't last long.  I have to work tomorrow.  I am doing it out of the kindness of my heart and am taking Hen with me.  It should be a short day and I am still looking forward to it.

* Dinner reservations have been made for Andrew's Father's day dinner on Saturday night.  I am hoping the place is pretty child friendly since we will have little guy in tow.  I offered to get a sitter but daddy wasn't having it.  He has requested shipwreck for breakfast on Saturday and steaks for dinner on Sunday.  How does everything revolve around food.

* Little Henry is growing and growing.  He has decided that he LOVES fruit. Kid can't get enough of it!!!!!!  He will be 6 months old in a few weeks and it makes me pretty emotional.  How does time go so quickly.

* My parents, Andrew's favorite in-laws and Hen's grandparents are coming to visit in 3 short weeks and I could not be more thrilled.  At this point one of the few things that gets me through the days is knowing they are coming.  I have a hard time saying bye to my mom if we don't already have another trip planned.  I will be fine with her leaving when she does in July becuase we already have another trip planned for her to come back in October.  I LOVE when she comes to visit and of course my dad too!!!!!

*  We booked our tickets to go to Texas this week.  We are shaking things up a bit this year and coming after Thanksgiving and before Christmas.  We will be in TX the first week of December.  Now that we have our own little fam we want to spend it at our home and then of course we have a HUGE birthday we have to celebrate a few days later.  Things change when you have your own family, if only everyone understood that!!!!!!

* Henry went swimming this past weekend and of course loved it. Granted there really wasn't much swimming done but we don't have to tell him.  We will be doing it a few lot more times this summer!!!!

Thursday Thoughts

* Today is my Friday and I am beyond thrilled!!!!  I have a busy day planned tomorrow.  I have to run an errand for daddy(of course) and then looking for strollers for our little guy.  Can't believe he is old enough for a new stroller.

* The weather is suppose to be wonderful here this weekend so we are going to get out and enjoy it.  We are going to the farmer's market again!!!!

* Andrew has stated his plans for Father's day.  We are going to Fort Snelling (BORING), and to eat at two different restaurants that we have read about.  He doesn't really know about these but I know he will Love them.  I offered to get a sitter so we could have some adult time, and he did not like that idea. 

* Daycare is going good.  I was super nervous all day Monday but have relaxed some during the week. 

* I have been going to bed early because there has been nothing on TV in the evenings.  I am ready for the Olympics to start.

* Henry has an internal bedtime clock and it is crazy!!!!  He cannot stay up past 7:00.  We have tried everything but nothing works.  I am not complaining but it is funnny some nights how he can't keep his eyes open as soon as it hits 7.

This weekend has been pretty boring.  Saturday morning Andrew went to an Estate Sale(of coures) and Hen and I stayed home and did some stuff around the house.  Andrew came home and we went to get the free couch and also got a free chair with it.  It's not exactly what I want so I am going to continue to look.  At least it was free!!!!!  Then we grabbed lunch and then all came home and took a nap.  We ahve started baby bootcamp at our house and we are surviving. Thanks to The Bakers(Kelley) http://3cowboysandamommy.blogspot.com/  for her suggestions on getting baby Henry to sleep.  I am going to leave it at that until it is complete so I don't jinx it!!!!!  We finished the evening with pork chops and our weekly episode of Duck Dynasty.  I was laughing so hard I was crying.  Perfect ending to a Saturday.  Today we have done laundry and had a big breakfast.  Andrew is busy with his new bookshelf.  Who knew something so random would make this man so happy.  Oh the man LOVES him some old stuff!!!!!!  Tonights menu is chili dogs, one of our favorites!!!!!!  This week I officially start my 4 day work weeks and am so excited.  Say a prayer tonight for Hen's first day at a new daycare. I know he will be fine and love it!!!!

We have had some animals in our yard over the last few weeks.  The crazy thing is is that Andrew acted like  he had never seen any of these animals although we have many of the animals on our walls.  It doesn't take much to impress my man!!!!!!!

5 Months

How in the world is our little guy 5 months old?

He is really starting to get a personality. 

Henry-

You are the best little baby, yes you have your moments but you are still are pride and joy.  You are still wearing size 2 diapers and eat your bottles like a champ.  We started you on vegetables in the evening with your cereal and you are LOVING them.  Hopefully you won't be a picky eater.  You still continue to LOVE your bath time.  We haven't gotten you in the water outside yet due to weather but we will be soon!!!  Daddy gets you out of your crib every morning and lets mommy get a few more minutes of sleep.  Dad really enjoys his mornings with you and tells me every evening what ya'll did that morning.  The only way I survive going to work is knowing I get to pick you up in a few hours.  We LOVE you more than you will ever know and continuosly ask ourselves what we did before we had you.  Happy 5 months little guy!!!!!!!
