Weekend of Firsts

We had a wonderful weekend.  On Friday night we ordered pizza and just watched TV.  Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to hit AN estate sale.  It was not that great although Andrew did get a few books.  One of our first for the weekend was we went to ANOTHER estate sale.  We usually only go to one per weekend.  Well Andrew loved this one and thinks that he did great on buying old books.  He loves books, which leads me to think that I need a post just about the things that are his weaknesses.  He bought 13 books, some being from the 1800's and some being brought over from Germany.  He also got an old pair of binoculars and I got a few odds and ends, nothing too special.  Then we came home to drop off the stuff and continued on our way.  We then went to a sportings good store called Scheels in Mankato.  This was about a 45 minute drive for us but in parts of MN that we had never been.  We then went to the Vikings spring training camp.  Yes we are a Packer family but since we were so close we figured we might as well check it out.  We got there right when they were finishing up their morning session so nothing exciting was happening.  But it was still neat to see.  On our way into Mankato we passed a HUGE yellow building that said it had many types of root beer and sodas as well as lots of candy and pure maple syrup(which we had been wanting to try).  So on our way back home we stopped by and LOVED it.  It is just the kind of store that we would like.  We bought some syrup, a cream cheese kringle, pure honey comb, some apples, a few sodas and just some other junk.  It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back!!!!!!  We then came home and had dinner and watched a movie.  Sunday morning we went to the lake.  Andrew caught his first MN fish.  We took pictures but I will have to post them later.  It was lots of fun and real relaxing!!!!!!

The new job is going so much better than the DC.  I can see myself doing this the rest of our time in MN.  It is really similar to what I did in TX.  I do miss my TX workers but like this job.  But lets get serious everything has to be better than the daycare!!!!!!!!!

I know we have an estate sale to go to this weekend but not sure what we will do besides that.  I need to make a post of all of our estate sale purchases.  Maybe I will do that this fall when they should slow down and I don't have anything to do on Saturdays.
