The Van Bakel's View: Grandad and Grandma

Sadly Grandad and Grandma's visit has come and gone. We all had a wonderful time. We didn't do much since we have a little guy in tow but it was still fun. We started eating as soon as they got off the plane. We went straight to Tavern on France for happy hour which is one of our favorites. Friday morning we did things around the house and then all headed downtown to a seafood restaurant that we all tried for the first time. The boys LOVED this meal. It was their favorite of the whole trip. We then did a little shopping at Mall of America and then had a small dinner at Panera. Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market where we all ate a little of everything. It got hot really early so we had our fun and left. We then went to another mall for a few hours and then went home and relaxed before another round of seafood at another place. Sunday was super relaxing. We spent most of the day at the lake and then had italian food downtown. Monday Andrew went to work and we ran a few errands and then had mexican food. I was really excited about this meal since I haven't had mexican since April. Andrew was not sad to miss this meal!!!!! My parents and I went back to Mall of America for a few hours and then to end the trip we had Cheesecake Factory. It was one of the BEST weekends I have had in a while and much needed. Sometimes you just need some time with your mom and I needed it. I am not ashamed to admit it!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the greatest parents in the world. They LOVE my baby boy more than anything (and of course their other 3 grandchildren) and do so much for our family and my brothers family. I hope to one day SOON to live a lot closer so they can love on my baby daily or even weekly. I was worried if Henry would take to them and thankfully he didn't hesitate one bit. He is one smart cookie!!!!!! We love you grandma and grandad and can't wait til we see you again!!!!
