Nothing Much

Nothing much has been going on here.  Last weekend it rained here so we did not get to work in the yard as much as we had hoped.  So we stayed inside and did some cleaning.  Nothing real exciting.

This week has gone by fast!!!!   My aunt came back into town and we went and had a good dinner.  I really like her coming to visit and hope she continues to come.  Tomorrow Andrew is going to the shooting range with one of his relatives that he has never met.  I am going to an Estate sale, grocery store and clean house.  So once again, not an exciting weekend.

But...............my mom comes next weekend for Mother's Day so we will have an exciting weekend.  We are going to do some shopping and eating.  I can't wait. 

MEXICO

We survived our trip to Mexico with no problems.  It was lots of fun!!!!!!  We were pretty busy the whole time which was nice but we wish we would have stayed longer with just us to relax a few days before coming back.  Here is the break down of who went and what we did. 

We flew in to Cancun with two other couples-John and Jenny and Billy and Jenny.  Russ and Lynn got there a little before we did,and then there were 2 other couples that had been there for a few days- Dave and Sara and Steve and ______.  I know its awful that I don't know her name!!!!!  Anyways when we got there on Sunday we got into our swimsuits and went to the pool bar.  After closing down that bar we went and changed and went to another bar and then had a really late steak dinner. Monday was spent all day at the pool.  Andrew and I had dinner that night by ourselves for our anniversary at the Japenese steak house.  It was really good!!!!  Tuesday morning some of us went into town to shop.  We didn't buy much just some vanilla.  Then after lunch we all went snorkeling.  It was lots of fun, I had been before but enjoyed this more than I had remembered.  We saw two sharks and some other neat fish.  Tuesday for dinner we just ate at the resort and then went and had drinks afterwards.  Wednesday morning some of us went to Wet n Wild.  Wet n Wild there is owned by the same people as our resort so it did not cost us anything.  It was fun to do something different.  After that Andrew wanted to go to the beach but it was rainng so we took a nap.  Later that afternoon we went into town to meet one of the couples at Margartitaville.  I had never been to one of these restaurants and I really liked it.  After Margaritaville we went to Pat O'Briens.  We all had a really good time and ended the evening early although it seemed much later than it really was.  Then early Thursday morning we began our journey back home.  I was glad to be home but could have actually stayed a little longer.  It has been quite a few years since I have been to Mexico and am already ready to go back.

We don't have any big plans for this weekend!!!!!  So we will just relax and rest up from our vacation.

Our two year anniversary is next Monday and since we won't be home I thought I would go ahead and dedicate this post to my great husband. 

January 200?  my roomate/best friend had a 21st birthday party.  Many people came that I did not know, Andrew being one of them.  I got so drunk that there are many events that I do not remember.  But this was the first time we met. For the next few weeks/months Andrew and his roomates became our great friends and we went to the bar together every Thursday night.  We never really talked, did not flirt (Andrew is not the flirty type- I know this now!)  Fast forward to April and me doing some really stupid things that we will not mention on here and Andrew getting frustrated with me.  I am so thankful he did.  Anyways I do something smart STUPID and he gets frustrated and confesses his feelings for me- mind you on instant messaging!  Anyways something clicked in my brain and to make up for my stupidity to him I cooked him hamburgers that night.  The first meal I ever made for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Anyways things progressed very quickly slowly from then.  With it being April and school almost over he left shortly to go and work with the air conditioning company and was gone for days at a time.  We spent many nights just talking on the phone for hours.  School started again and we were dating.  We took Intro to Rock and Roll together, which was awful.  Then we started hitting a bumpy road.  We then decided it would be neat to see how nice mean we could be to each other and how many times we could break up and get back together.  GRANTED I would not change one minute of it cause I don't think we would be where we are today if we hadn't had our challenges. 

Fast Forward to today and here we are.  Married for two years, going on our second honeymoon, living in a new state, living in our perfect first home and experiencing new things everyday.  I cannot imagine my life without him.  He is the greatest husband and loves me for me.  I cannot wait to see what our future holds considering we have had a pretty exciting past.

Weekend, packing, busy summer and date

This weekend we have been working in the yard.  We are almost done, Thank goodnesss.  We made two trips yesterday to the brush place and Andrew wants to make two more next weekend.  It is looking better so that is good.  Andrew is ready to have it done so we can go and do things that we have not been able to do.  He wants to scope out all of the hiking trails around our house. 

I have been getting us packed for our upcoming trip to Mexico.  I cannot wait to go!!!!!  Andrew needs a few days away to do nothing and he says I deserve some time off too.  We are going to do nothing but swim, relax and have a few drinks.  I am going to miss our friends that we went to Vegas with and wish they were going.  Don't worry I will look into us going somewhere next summer.  We will miss you Tyler and Kelley!!!!

We have a busy summer already.  We are having visitors two weekends in May.  A weekend getaway in June.  More visitors in July.  Andrews birthday in August.  Wedding trip in September!!!!!!!!!!  Being busy will make it go by quickly which I am not excited about.  The weather has been wonderful here and I am not wanting it to disappear anytime soon!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going on a date tonight.  We are going to eat at Outback and come home and rent a movie.  I cannot wait.  We have worked hard this weekend so we deserve it.

Andrew=not liking his wife having a real job

Andrew has been spoilt since we got married and now he does not know what to do.  I have always gotten home before him and had supper ready.  As of right now I am getting home after him.  I hope this will change but for now he is having to deal with it.  Now when I get home he is so hungry that I can't seem to feed him enough.  He has been eating more than ever.  He always cries and complains about how he is starving to death.  I am thinking that maybe he doesn't really want me to work if I am not going to be able to have dinner ready when he gets home.  We shall see???  I take my lunch everyday and am also packing him one so he can't complain that he does not eat lunch.  I LOVE taking care of him and am not sure how long this working and not being able to will last.  Maybe he'll give in and let me be a SAHW- I have to put wife since I'm not a mom yet.

Happy Easter everyone!!!!!! 

This week has been another busy week compared to what I have had the last month.  I had some training for work and then worked part of the day on Friday and then start on Monday.  Andrew was not use to supper not being ready but will just have to get use to waiting and having dinner a  little later.  Wednesday I got my hair cut.  I really liked the place and the girl who cut it.  I got my eyebrows waxed too, but will never get that done there again because it was more than my haircut.  Thursday night I went to my first Junior Service League event.  It was a lot better than I had thought.  There were quite a few girls there that did not know anyone so I met 3 other girls and we all sat together.  Our next event is not until May. 

Today we woke up and went and ran some errands and had breakfast.  Then we came home and Andrew loaded up his truck with brush while I dug up a bush and then we hauled it all off.  We then came home and did more yard work until we filled up our trash cans. Then went to Sam's and Home Depot. I think we have gone to Home Depot every weekend since moving here.  I cooked stir-fry for the first time for dinner.  Andrew really enjoyed it. 

I have everything ready for our BIG easter meal.  Hopefully I will take pics. and blog about it tomorrow.

We leave for Mexico in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait to get away!!!!!
