Thursday Thoughts

* We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  We got out and did some things we have never done.  Hopefully I can get the pictures posted this weekend. 

* Minnesota sure has been in the national news lately.  First with the SUPER crazy neighbor harassing her neighbors.  And then the truck that drove into the bar.  Both of these incidents happend pretty close to us. 

* Hen is officially 5 months old.  That post coming soon.  Where has my baby gone?

* My aunt Bobbie is coming to visit in a few weeks and we are so excited!!!

* My clients really put my life in perspective for me without knowing that their doing it.  They are crazy and I do thank them for that. 

* Henry is starting a new dayare on Monday.  Please say a prayer for him and I, probably me more than him.  Long story, but I keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason.

* Andrew right now is huge into getting rid of stuff.  We have been going through stuff that we haven't used in years and getting rid of it BUT at the same time he just boys more crap to replace it.  Example:  we have 3 bags of misc. stuff waiting for a pick up but just today he bought a new bookcase and got an item in the mail from ebay.  He has a HUGE problem!!!!!

*  He is also really into buy antique furniture because when we move he says we won't be able to find the deals that we can here.  Not sure why he thinks we can get better deals here but I'm letting him go with it.  Well, I am here to say I have made the furniture deal of the year.  I have been wanting a new antique couch to recover.  So I found one for the big price of $50.  The guy wants it out of his possession because he is moving so I get it for FREE.  Good thing because there is no telling how much I will pay for fabric and labor.  I can't wait!!!!!!

* We are going to Hen's first Greenbay Packers game in August and I bought him a darling shirt off Etsy for him to wear.  I am more excited about his outfit than the game itself!!!!!!

Thursday Thoughts

* I am pretty much over the idea of working.  It probably has to do with 2 things.  1. The weather around here is crazy so one day my clients are manic and the next they are depressed and 2. We have some major new decisions to make as a family that are driving me crazy.

* The weather here this weekend is suppose to be icky.  Rain, rain and more rain.  Doesn't look like Hen will be getting in his new pool this weekend. 

* We had a deer in our backyard on Wednesday night and you would have thought Andrew had never seen one.  We have a million pictures to prove it.

* Our baby boy is turning another month older next week.  How is that possible?

* How is having a baby so exhausting and amazing all at one time?  Don't get me wrong I would not change a thing but most days the time goes by too fast and it seems like a barely get to see my son and husband. 

* My parents are coming to vist in a little over a month and I cannot wait.  I need a weekend to do nothing and eat good food.  It's always about the food.

* Andrew and I are going to another Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives restaurant this weekend.  Of course he picked this one.  They are famous for their lobster roll and lobster mac and cheese.  I don't like lobster so I'm not sure what I will eat. 

The Baby & The Weekend

Andrew seems to only know Henry as the baby.  Poor Henry is going to be so confused when he gets older cause he is called so many different things.  I don't know what Andrew will call him when he no longer is a baby.  I had to go to a class on Saturday and so Andrew had to keep him alone for the first time.  Everyone survived!!!!!!!  And I got the cutest picture while I was away.  Thankfully Henry waited to roll over for the first time until I got home.

The rest of the weekend was spent doing pretty much nothing.  We started cleaning on the basement but didn't get everything done.  We ate at a restaurant that Andrew has wanted to eat at since the first weekend we moved here.  It is famous for their roast beef sandwiches.  Andrew loved it but I just thought it was ok.  Today we had breakfast and then just had a steak dinner complete with lemon pound cake.  I mentioned before me trying new recipes and the cake was one and I have some chicken marinating now for tomorrow that is also a new recipe. 

We are hoping for good weather for the upcoming long weekend.  We hope to go on a hike and possibly fill up Hen's pool.  And as of the first week of June I will officially have a long weekend every week as I am no longer working Friday's.  That had been my plan all along ater returning but hasn't happend but it will be soon!!!!  I can't wait.

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's Day 2012 will be a holiday that I will NEVER forget.  Everything about it was perfect.  We started the weekend on Friday with a very casual dinner and Andrew and I having a Duck Dynasty watching date after Henry went to bed.  I am in love with that show and actually think that Will is pretty handsome.  Saturday morning we woke up and went to 2 different estate sales.  Thankfully we didn't buy anything.  Then we went to the Minneapolis farmer's market.  We had breakfast there although we weren't too impressed.  We then went to our usual farmer's market and walked around and across the bridge.  Henry took a nap during our walk so Andrew and I had a good talk.  We then headed downtown and went to Neiman Marcus.  It was awful, for some reason they had no merchandise.  We then came back home and all took a nap.  Before dinner we went to our 2 favorite antique shops.  Again we didn't buy anything.  And then we headed to dinner at a place that we had seen on Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives.  Sunday we ate and did our weekly chores.  Nothing excting but a perfect ending to my first Mother's day. 

And last but not least I received my bracelet....................................

I am in complete love with it.  Andrew sure did take care of me this year!!!!  It is Henry's birthstone and something that I will wear daily and for years to come. 

I Love Andrew and Henry more than words can describe.  I love our little family that we have become. 

I have BIG shoes to fill for Father's day.  I better get busy planning!

Thursday Thoughts

* This week has been super.  Andrew and I went on a much needed lunch date.  We even tried a new restaurant. 

* The weather is suppose to be nice this weekend and we are going to get out an enjoy every minute of it. 

* We are going to celebrate Mother's day on Saturday so we don't have to worry about the crowds at restaurants.  Mind you we are going to a pizza joint!!!!!

*Henry has decided that sometimes he will smile for the camera.

Hen sure doesn't look happy.  But Crim was dressed and ready for the club.  Sad thing is these two could end up at the club together one day. 

So happy these two are a part of my son's life!!!

*I got off work early yesterday and came home and cleaned things in this house that have needed to be cleaned for months.  Makes me feel so much better!!!!!

*I cannot wait to be able to get Hen in the swimming pool this summer.  I have hopes that he loves it!!!!  We also plan on taking him to the lake many times.







4 Months stats, Weekend and Recipes

I want to record Henry's stats here on the blog so I won't forget them or forget where I have them written down.

At 4 months you weigh 15 lbs. and 11 oz.  You are 25 in. long.  Everything else looked great. 

You got your four immunizations and have a harder time with these than you did at your 2 months.  You have not been terrible just a tid bit whiney. 

Here is a comparison of you at 1 month and 4 months.  You sure have changed!!!!!!!

We have a had a perfect weekend considering Henry's shots on Friday.  Friday and Saturday morning Andrew got up super early to go to Estate sales.  Hen and I were suppose to meet him at one on Saturday but it was too chilly and rainy.  Besides that we have done nothing.  We have done our usual laundry and weekly pick up around the house.  We all took a nap this afternoon after Andrew and I had a drink(much needed)!!!!!

I feel like week after week we eat the same things.  So I am trying to come up with some new recipes to try.  Last night we had one and I wasn't too impressed.  I guess I will keep looking. 

My first Mother's Day is coming up and I am so excited about my gift.  Of course Andrew and I don't usually buy gifts for each other but he has really outdone himself the last few months.  I can't wait!!!!!!
