BOY!!!!!!!!!!

Of course we are thrilled and would have been either way.  If you know BD you know he will love having a football watching friend and a hunting buddy.  I am fine with a little boy because I sure do LOVE the other little boys in my life and can't wait to see all the adventures they take our little guy on.(Hopefully he will have a name sooner than later)

I have some pictures I will post this weekend.  Right now I am just down right too tired.  We had a HUGE dinner(not what baby and I wanted but at least BD fed us!) and went shopping so I am officially done for the day!

One of my many Plans

Since we found out we were expecting I knew that I wanted to find out the sex of our baby with gender reveal cupcakes. I would love to have a gender reveal party but since we live by no family or friends I knew that wasn't an option. So I had decided that BD would go to the appointment but we would leave the appointment with our answer in an envelope,then we would take our envelope to a local cupcakery and have them insert the proper color of icing into cupcakes. When I told husband this he said well then I'm not going and I'll just find out at dessert time. I agreed to this. So as of earlier this week I was going alone. Well then I talked to one of my friends and she said I might want to reconsider since the sono is pretty intensive and you never know I might need some support. So I thought about it and decided we will go to the appointment together and we will find out together there at the appointment! Then we will go buy our guy/gal their first outfit from mom and dad,then go to dinner and have dessert. We will soak it up as a couple for a few hours before informing family and friends-this is an advantage we have by living far away!!!

This is the plan as of now but who's to say my mind won't change!!b

With our second and last baby we will do it a fun way so we can include our guy/gal!! I think that's why I am ok with doing it the old fashioned way first go round.

Name Game

I would have never thought that naming a child would be such a challenge,whirlwind or adventure. A year ago we thought we had names for a girl and boy picked out. To our surprise we finally found out we were having a little one we realized the names we had chosen were not still options. So to the books and internet we went,which was a joke. Most of those names are from other countries and we all know BD would never allow our child to have a name from another country. BD was pickier than me, no last names as first names,no boy names for girls and he would prefer to not know anyone that he doesn't like have the same name. To my surprise we were able to come up with girls names a lot easier than boy names!! So the list began a few months ago for first and middle names. The middle names were very easy too as they were all family names. On our drive home this weekend we discussed going ahead and settling on a boy and girl name. Well needless to say I have had some anxiety about this! I would love to wait and see what the little guy/gal looks like first but I LOVE monogrammed things so I don't really think waiting is a good idea. So we think we know what his/her name is but I think we will wait until we see their sweet face in the sono on Tuesday.

The middle names we chose for girl are:
Ann(my moms middle name)
Kay(my middle name)
Lynn(BD's moms middle name)

The middle names we chose for boy are:
Alan(my dads,brother and Calaways middle name)
Joseph(BD's middle name)
Thomas(BD's brothers middle name and my grandads first name)

The middle names have been chosen!!! As long as the girl name doesn't change!!! BD did decide over the weekend that if this baby is a boy he wants him to have his middle name. So well all see come Tuesday!!!!

19 weeks

I didn't get to do an 18 week photo since they are usually done on the weekend and we were out of town.  So to make sure that doesn't happen again I decided to do one during the week (but of course it won't post)

Gender: Guy/Gal- next week is the big week!

Maternity Clothes: Not really, but it will be real soon

Weight gain: 2 pounds (from last appt., but thats probably changed)

Movement: I had a little break in between clients today and was relaxing and did feel some kicks 

Sleep: Just waking up to pee!

Symptoms: I am still tired from staying up late over the weekend. Heartburn, heartburn and more heartburn

What I miss: nothing YET!

Cravings: Nothing this week.

Best moment this week:  Feeling little kicks!!!!

I will try and take some pictures this weekend and hopefully they will post!!!  I have had problems with pictures of the nephews/niece too.  Super frustrating!!!!!

Packer Paradise

Over the weekend husband and I went to Wisconsin to go to a Packer game and to visit some family.  We had a wonderful time although I am still trying to catch up on my sleep from the weekend.  The Packers won so it was a good game. 

Husband got some military stuff (like we need anymore) from his family members.  He got a picture of his great-grandfather and his discharge papers.  He also got his great uncles uniform.  He was in heaven all weekend.  We also went to an antique mall and he got some goodies there.  It was a good weekend get away!!!!!!!

MOM

My mom recently bought a new sewing maching that does lots of neat things.  She bought it for many reasons, as she is pretty handy but one reason is for her wonderful grandchildren that she has.  She has just started but has made some pretty cutte things.  My favorite so far is the boys pillowcases.  I know they will love taking them on all their baseball trips!!!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 17 weeks

Size of baby: 4 1/2 - 4 3/4 inches and 3.5 ounces

Gender: ??????????

Maternity Clothes: Not really but I do have some bottoms that I have worn

 

Movement: I think I felt it move last night

Sleep: No problems except having to get up to use the bathroom 

Symptoms: I got heartburn/indigestion for the first time on Monday and I was in tears it hurt so bad.  I had eaten Taco Bell for lunch so needless to say I will not be eating there again. 

What I miss: nothing really

Cravings: last week I craved blueberry muffins but nothing this week.

What I am looking forward to: Finding out what we are having, registering and go to TX one last time and getting to go thru all of the goodies there!!!!! 

Birthday Boy

Yesterday was husbands/BD's birthday.  The day started off with going to an estate sale.  We went just because we wanted to go to one since it has been months and needless to say he found 3 military things so it was a good thing we went.  We then came home and had breakfast and ran to Sam's and Home Depot.  Then he came home and did some work on the crib (it won't be finished this weekend).  Later in the day he went to one of his military collectors house to compare their collections.  He has done this a few times, weird if you ask me.  He then came home and we had a steak dinner and watched the Packers.  They lost but he says he still had a really good birthday.

This morning we went and had brunch but were very disappointed.  We had been to the restaurant a few times for dinner and heard the brunch was good.  We were not impressed!!!!!!  The best part was the bottomless mimosas, that I did not get to enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of many, many more

Here is our first picture of our little girl/boy.  We LOVE looking at this picture.   We have a few others but this is probably the best one.  18 more days until we find out if it is boy or girl.  What do you think it is???????  Seriously I want to know your thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!

This is also a picture of the beginnig stages of our childs crib. It has been a long ongoing project for  husband.  He is convinced that he is going to finish it this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Crazy Stupid LOVE

I went and saw this movie today while working (YES I got paid to go to the movies). This movie is one of the best that I have seen in a while.  It is one of those that you are laughing one minute and crying the next.  Crazy Stupid LOVE  one of those movies that you would consider buying. 

I also just got done reading this book.  It was good but not really what I expected.  It did help me with an event that has recently happended in our lives.  I mailed it my mom so she could read it. 

Tuesday Thoughts.......................

• The weather here today is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!  There is a high of 75 and I don't think it will even reach it.  It is very Fall like.
• Auctions have taken over my husbands life.  It use to be estate sales, well those have kind of died off for now so now he is addicted to Auctions.  We have been to 2 in the past week and he hasn't bid for what he wanted so on our way to the auction last night I told him that if he didn't at least bid we were NOT going to anymore.  Well to my surprise he bid and got what he wanted.  Nothing that is picture worthy, just military medals.
• I have a routine Dr's appointment today.
• 3 weeks from today we find out what we will be having.  If you ask me what it is I really couldn't give you any specifics of why I think it is one or the other.  It will be a huge surprise to us all.
• We have the names narrowed down to about 5 for each for first names and 3 middle names for each.  I thought that going into the 20th week we would have a name picked out for either but last night Husband decided that we won't finalize anything until we know for sure. 
• Husbands birthday is this weekend.  We don't have a lot planned but we are going to have a steak dinner and try a new place for brunch. 
• Next week we go to Green Bay for a football game and to visit some family.

Family wedding

The whole reason I went to TX was because my little cousin was getting married.  I guess she's really not that little if she got married.  It was a busy fun weekend.  I am so glad I was able to attend and be apart of everything. 


I got into Houston on Thursday and headed to have lunch with one of my best friends from college that I had not seen since my wedding and who is expecting her fist little girl in a few short weeks.

We then headed to my aunt and uncles and hung out with family and some of the wedding party.  We had a delicious Italian dinner.

The next morning we had the bridesmaids luncheon at an Italian food restaurant.  It was fun and delicious.  After lunch we headed out for a super fun shopping trip!!!!!

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner and my first chance to have mexican food.  It was some of the best I have had in a long time or maybe it was just the fact that I actually got chips and queso!!!!

Saturday morning we woke up and had donuts.  Mom, Ash and I then walked to Forever 21 had LOTS of fun!!!!  Then I went and met another friend from college for lunch.  I didn't take any pictures but we will make up for that when she comes to visit in a few weeks.  Then it was wedding time!!!!









Husband will always be Husband but soon he will be.......

Baby Daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


 Yes guys that's right we are having a baby in a few months. Many,many of you know but out of the 3 whole readers I have there might actually be one of you that this might come as a surprise. We are both very, very excited!!!! This whole pregnancy thing has been a journey for us. For some it comes easily but for us that has not been the case. But we are pregnant now and got to see our baby girl/boy a few weeks ago,which made it all much more real. We will find out if we are having a boy or girl in about  4 weeks . My original 20 week sono was scheduled actually later than 20 weeks which was driving me crazy so this week I called to see if they could get me in at the right time and they can so I am thrilled. Husband(soon to be BD) went with me for my 12 week sono and acted super crazy so it is still being debated if he will get to come to this one. I am kidding, he will be there but with tape on his mouth!!!
It seems really weird to be posting about this because we have kept it a secret for so long. I will be posting pictures, hopefully this weekend!!


We both had fun on our trips to TX. This time husband really missed me, not sure if it was me or this BIG belly I am caring around. Regardless it was nice to see him and to get back into our usual schedule!!! We have more visitors in the next few weeks and then I will make one last trip to TX at the end of September for a HUGE family birthday celebration and to take all of my brother and sister in laws baby things off of their hands.
